My cousin's youngest daughter, Kim An is here for 5 days. We have managed to shop, see a musical (WICKED!!), catch a movie (the time travellers wife), kayak on Shoreline lake and organise a pool play-date for the kiddies! It has been a very enjoyable few days, and it's her last day tomorrow. We will spend a few hrs with her other aunty in Milpitas.
Chantelle calls Kim An (Chi-older sister/ cousin) and Kim An calls me Y (Aunty).
Wicked....
Galinda and Elphbar were apparently friends at school. It talks about how there is two sides to a situation, what you see or hear is not necessarily the truth.
Scarecrow, Tin-man, Lion and the Wizard's circumstances are all developed/explained. There is even a love-triangle happening and we get to see The wicked Witch of the West's sister and find out what type of a person she is. I was not disappointed by the ending, however, the vocal performances could have been better. It was very hard to understand half of what they were singing about, because the music sometimes over-powered the vocalists. I'm a romantic, so the love-story within was a pleasant surprise and an even wonderful ending.
The time-travellers wife...
Didn't think I would enjoy this, as Eric Bana played the time-traveller, but the storyline was intriguing, making this movie satisfying to watch. I would have liked to know why he time-travelled or who else experiences time-travelling.
Potty training.... how difficult is it to potty train a child? When do they realise they need to pee or poop? We have mixed days. On most days she is very good at sitting at the potty and do her business, other days, she just does it everywhere!! We are going to try the act of using pull-ups properly. That way there will be no more accidents around the house! Argh!!
Our next guests will be my sisters, arriving on Oct 5th-Oct 21st. Joy!!
