Charles's 30th

Charles had a surprise 30th, Dim sum birthday, at Palo Alto's MING'S yesterday.
Seeing as it was his 30th, and he has been working so hard in the past few months, that I organised a little get-to-gether. It was a feat to actually keep the secret from him, but I managed =D sneaky me*

I had emailed his friends on Wednesday/Thursday night (pretty last minute i know,) and more than half of the list were able to turn up!
OMG: i had to even change my gmail p/w in case he used my gmail account (snooping... lol, more like testing).
Come Sunday morning, and we were still in bedw by 9:45am.... i rolled over and whispered to him that i was hungry... preparing him to wake up by 10am, so we could go out for brekkie. He got up at 10am brushed his teeth and got dressed, whilst I quickly got Chantelle ready in a beautiful dress! We were out of the house by 10:20am. I inputed Ming's address into our Prius (charles was clueless as to our destination: as he rarely drives, and doesnt care what he eats!) and off i zoomed onto the US101N. LOL, he was surprised when i got off the embarcadero exit and drove into Ming's. He put up a little protest about the food there (see yumcha posts) but as i shrugged it off, and said i was hungry and didnt want to wait, he shut up, and we went towards the restaurant.
HA! Tim&patty arrived at that moment: and
Charles said "isnt that Tim&patty? Did you tell them we were coming here?"
"Nope"
"oh: they just decided to come here for breakfast? it's pretty far for them!"
"dunno"

hehehe...
Around the corner, we met Ehren...
"Hi Ehren! What are YOU doing here?"
LOL we all got a big laugh out of it.
Then, Charles accused me of organised something.... hehehe

We had a total of 11 adults and 2 babies.
Naughty Patty paid for the entire thing! it was so naughty of her... i swear, I don't know how she became soo sneaky!

Charles on the other hand, had a great time. He seemed to really enjoy his weekend this week. We didnt do anything on Saturday, just bummed around at home: did the cleaning etc.. and Sunday was a day of get-together.
