Back in the USA: Round 2

our Qantas flight was scheduled to depart, 1:55pm on 30th June.
The flight was delayed until 10:30am 1st of July.
Qantas put us up overnight at the Hilton in the city. they also gave us a $50 voucher pp for dinner. It was great! I had my whole family there. tuyen spent the night with us, cos she could walk to work early the next day (considering she skipped work the day before - due to cancellation of flight and the huge KARFUFFLE that went with that!)
We woke up at 5:15am to get ready and had complimentry breaki at the Hilton. We were on the bus by 7:30am and at the airport by 8. We were in line and checked in (3 trolleys between 2 adults and 1 baby: sooo much luggage!) within 1/2 an hr. By then, the speakers came on and informed us of our delayed flight being delayed again: until 11:30am.

We had Wagamama for lunch and fed Chantelle and went through security again and then boarded out flight at 11:30am. By 12:15pm, we had to disembark the plane due to safety maintenance issues. By then, everyone was really worried and upset that they wouldn't get home for work etc... to make a long journey short, we boarded again at 3pm and flew safely to SFO.
HoorAY!!! we were very glad the flight was over.
chantelle however, is another story. she started becoming clingy. She constantly needed to be rocked asleep and wouldn't sleep longer than 4-5hrs, until she jerks awake again.
It has been like this for the past few days. She wakes up, cries, and seeks us to hold and rock her! GAWD, we haven't done that since she was a new-born! Hence, the last few days have been really difficult for us. Trying to get over jet-lag and handle a crying baby.
We think she might be teething, and is also encountering her growth period week. She doesnt eat much, hence feeding is a real battle with her. She has managed to make our new carpet all patchy with yellow food marks. eww.... sigh, looks like we won't be getting our bond back when we leave from this place!

We didnt see any fireworks! OMG: we were way too tired to even think about it! Goodness, and i so wanted to show Chantelle fireworks last year, when she was a little thing in my tummy! OOOOooooohhhh.....

5th July.
This is the day, Tim & Patty announced their commitment to each other. They have been sweethearts for several years now.

They had an indian style wedding, where everyone was partying their union from 3rd july to the 6th July! LOL, its FANTASTIC! Wishing them both a glorious journey ahead for the two of them. xxx
