Time does fly by with little kids. All those early sleepless nights continue with round the clock "ear" out for any unusual breathing patterns, choking noises she might have due to lack of burping skills by parents, or those intermitent gurgles of chortles "good dreams".
Aside from the sore chest, sleeping on my back is soo comfortable again, (have yet to sleep on my tummy...)that i learn to doze off as soon as she is asleep (2hrs on a good time!)
Charles does the extended night shift since Ai has left... the 1-2am or the 7-9pm where i can get a good shower and "time-out" time. Seriously, you so need these times to yourself, or else you'd go mad.
I do not like it when she cries after doing all the necessary things, feeding, burping, diapers... she's only fussy once in a while, but man, those times are the crappiest. The intermitent crying is enough to frazzle anyone! I have let her "cry it out" once, as i didnt know what was wrong. Bad of me? ahh well... if she could tell me, im sure id fix it, but we just weren't communicating.
Difficult times...
On a plus side, Chantelle Alexa seems to be feeding well. From her pics, u can see her chubbi chubbi cheeks and she has gotten incredibly heavy and LONGER! She's back to drinking 3.5oz every 3-4hrs.
Ammi and Thathie has returned home to Syd/Aust.
It was nice to have Thathie cook and Ammi and Thathie got a chance to explore the transport system in Mountain View. They pretty much discovered they could get anywhere on a $2 senior-all day- bus ride! HAve to hand it to them. They know more about the transportation system than most of the people around here!
3 weeks till Aunti Tuyen arrives with junk food :p
Well, off to see US Grandma/pa in San Fran this Sunday. Our first real outing in a month - how exciting!!!
