Aunty Ai is leaving for Syd tonight. Her presence here for the last 2 weeks since Chantelle was born has been a blessing. She has been my mid-night nurser. Looking after the baby during the wee mornings whilst Charles and I catch up on sleep.
The good thing is, Ai is promising a return in 2yrs time, that way she can be certain Chantelle will remember her :)
Chantelle has grown in the past 2 wks. Her weight has increased, signifying a healthy child.
Birth Weight: 7 pounds 2 oz
Leaving hospital weight: 6 pounds 11oz
5th day pediatric weight: 6 pounds 8 oz
2 weeks weight (today): 7 pounds 15oz (whoohoo!)
Chantelle has started to drink 4-5oz most days and sleeping longer hrs. Her cheeks are starting to fill out, and you can see her lil dimple on the left of her cheek.
She loves playing nosi nose with her father (touch nose) where she will smile.
She cries when she isnt feed in time, other than that, she has been pretty good, so i do try to dose her with a lot of milk so she can fall asleep soundly.. :)
Overall, Chantelle is doing great, and our lil family is happy she is adjusting so well. Lets hope we can keep it up for 4 weeks before our next sister/ sitter/ cook arrives :) Yup, we are importing another sister... with increased culinary expertise.
Tuyen is booked for her arrival on the 3rd of Nov.
Oh, Thathie is due to arrive on Sunday, 30th Sept - 11th Oct. He is excited to see the baby and explore San Fran with Ammi (as i have not had the chance to take her to the city).
