July Adventure

Family Vacation continues after the rents trip to the East coast. We did a quick stop in LA for 2 days, an overnight at my Great Aunt's place (mum's side), whom Chantelle calls BA CO' . Very cute the way she says it. We met up with Anh Hai's family + Chi Hong's : my mother's nieces and nephew, who are my cousins. We also got to meet one of mums younger sister. It was great to be spoilt by them all.

Y-Ai said her farewell after that, she returned back home to Sydney and hubby to start the next part of her life. Settling down :)

My dad then flew to Houston Texas to visit his older brother's family and mum stayed with us and we travelled 2.5hrs to San Luis Obispo for 3days.
What was the occasion? 4th of July Weekend and Tim's birthday!

Pebbles Beach: not much sun rays, but we did try to build Chantelle a sand castle. Note the word TRY and the fact that WE built it... (she was too busy getting use to the sand and trying to create pictures with the sand toys). Her first real beach exposure in the US =P
San Luis Obispo's downtown was lovely. Small lively town, in which Charles and I managed to spend a few hrs by ourselves walking and exploring the streets.

We all returned home on the 4th July, and before we knew it, my parents were coaching it down to LA again.
My parents of course could not sit still for a second. Whilst in LA the first time, they booked a 3 day cruise to Ensenada, Mexico from Long Beach. It was their first cruise experience so they were a bit nervous and excited about going. My goodness, you should see their photo and video collection!

You are probably wondering what im doing whilst they are away. Nothing, just looking after the kids, making sure they are working to schedule, or else im pretty sure my life would be that much more harder once help is totally gone. I've learned to cook about 2 more dishes.... one recipe at a time (per visit - cannot possibly learn too much!). It truly is wonderful that mum is here - it's the FOOOOOD she makes, my kids adore her food (the variety of spices+tastes), she really is spoiling my kids because i know they will not have more than half the dishes they enjoy once mum leaves.

Parents last adventure was a return to the east coast, namely Washington DC for Dad's VN navy reunion (their main purpose for this US trip). Overall, parents had a blast, everyone gained a pot belly, rosy cheeks, and lugged home 2 luggage bags each. ^-^
